Beard: (Make 2 sets of balls)
The beard is made by making 4 balls and then slip stitching them together forming half of the beard. Once both sides have been created then they will be sewn to head. Keep track of which balls are what, because they need to be sewn in a particular order.

Row 3: sc in each sc around (18)

Row 6: decrease over next 2 sc, around (6)
FO, stuff lightly and flatten.
Beginning in ball-1, st st to join, st st across open end of ball-1 (catching both sides), join to ball-2 with st st and continue across ball, sl st to ball- 3 and continue across, sl st to ball-4 and continue across. FO (you need overlap the balls slightly as you go across, ball-1 is under ball-2, ball-2 is under ball-3 and ball-3 is under ball-4)

When both sides of the beard are finished sew to head. Ball-1 should sit about halfway up face and ball-4 should be at the bottom of the head. When both sides of the beard have been sewn on the two ball-4s will just meet under the chin area.

Ears: (make 2)
With tan. 6 sc in magic circle (6)
Row 1: 2 sc in each sc around (12)

Row 5: skip 1st sc, sc next 2 sc, 2 sc next sc, sc next 2 sc, decrease over next 2 sc, hdc next 2 sc, 2 hdc next sc, hdc next sc, 2 hdc next sc, hdc next 2 sc, decrease over next 2 sc, sc next 2 sc, 2 sc next sc, sc next 2 sc, sl st last sc, FO (24)

Sew to head. I made the bottom a little bit longer so the muzzle will sit over the face a bit. See picture for placement.

Muzzle:
With brown. 6 sc in magic circle (6)
Row 1: 2 sc in each sc around (12)
Row 2: sc next sc, 2 sc next sc, around (18)

Row 12: decrease over next 2 sc, around (6)
FO, weave end thru loops and pull closed.
I indented the muzzle in an inverted v-shape for the teeth by whip stitching. See picture.

Attach to face.

Finish: Cut a small triangle out of red for nose. Cut two black ovals for eyes and two small circles out of white for pupils. Cut teeth out of white felt. I used a permanent marker to draw a line down the center of the teeth. Sew or glue to face.
